All fire alarm equipment comes with an installation manual inside the box, or with an installation sheet inside the box. This is important information.
The installation manual that comes with the booster power supply shows how to connect the panel, and also shows the maximum voltages and currents for all the circuits, including to the main electrical disconnect, the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP), and the signaling devices, like the horns and strobes.
Because each manufacturer uses a slightly different method of connecting everything, you have to use the installation manual for the specific booster power supply you are working with.
If the manual is lost, see if you can download it from the web, or call the technical support team for the manufacturer to get a manual. Make sure you have the exact model number of the equipment, so that when they ask, you will be ready.
Also, make sure the booster power supply can be used with the FACP. Somewhere in the FACP's installation manual, or in the booster power supply's installation manual should be a list of "Compatible Equipment".
Another way of saying "Compatible" is to say equipment that actually works together. When the word "Compatible" is used, the equipment has been tested to work. If the equipment isn't compatible, the equipment probably won't work together.
Also, make sure the horns and strobes are "Compatible" with the booster power supply, or they may not work with the booster power supply.
I'd like to show you riser diagrams, but the installation manuals show the riser diagrams better than I could show.
